🫡 Project Definition/Client Request:

The product owner has outlined a clear requirement for a dashboard that provides real-time weather insights. This dashboard is to be built for five specific locations, with the capability to display both current conditions and forecasts, enhancing decision-making for weather-dependent activities.

✅ Project Requirements:

1. Data Extraction and Preparation:
   • Utilize Python to extract current and forecasted weather data from WeatherAPI for five selected locations. Ensure data accuracy.
2. Google Cloud Platform Integration:
   • Store raw data in a Data Lake (Cloud Storage) and cleansed data in a Data Warehouse (BigQuery) for efficient querying
   • Deploy the data pipeline on Google Cloud Platform.
3. Automation:
   • Implement an automated data fetching process to extract the latest WeatherAPI data daily.
4. Dashboard Creation:
   • Develop a Looker Studio dashboard that refreshes automatically when new WeatherAPI data is available. The dashboard should have the following capabilities:
     • Location Selection: Users can choose a location via a dropdown menu.
     • Weather Insights: Users can view both current weather conditions and the weather forecast for the selected location.

The following requirements are necessary to complete the project:

• Experience with Python and Pandas library (recommended)
• A free Google Cloud Platform trial account (https://cloud.google.com/free)
